Pirates, on the other hand, remained fourth on the log with 46 points from 28 league games, and the remaining two matches will be crucial for them.
TS Galaxy stunned Pirates with an opening goal as early as the third minute when Phohlongo headed past Siyabonga Mpontshane after the defence’s failure to clear the ball away from danger.
Pirates tried to find the right combinations in an attempt to get an equalizer but TS Galaxy was resilient at the back.

Bucs suffered another setback when Abel Mabaso was sent off following a second bookable o fence just after the half-hour mark.
TS Galaxy had their captain Given Msimango dismissed as well on the stroke of half-time.
The second half saw Pirates throw everything at TS Galaxy but Marlon Heugh stood between them and the equalizer.

Heugh pulled off some stunning saves throughout the second half, first denying Gabadinho Mhango who was unmarked in the small box after receiving a pass from Kabelo Dlamini.
The lanky goalkeeper would then thwart Jooste’s brilliant left-footed curler, acrobatically finger-tipping the ball over the crossbar.
TS Galaxy had a chance to double their lead toward the end of the match as they caught the Pirates off-guard and outnumbered their defence.

However, Mlungisi Mbjunjana’s final touch in a three versus one situation let the team down as the ball ended up in Mpontshane’s hands.
