Live stream: Watch Cyril Ramaphosa at the State Capture Inquiry here

Strap in for this one, because Cyril Ramaphosa is set to take us all on a ride. The president is finally attending the State Capture Inquiry, hoping to set the record straight on a number of previous testimonies – but of course, the 68-year-old also has several burning questions to answer himself. You can watch the live stream here, but what time do we get underway?

Here’s what time Cyril Ramaphosa will appear at the State Capture Inquiry:

It’s a 10:00 kick-off for President Ramaphosa, and his testimony is likely to continue throughout the day. He is also due back to face the panel on Thursday 29 April, same time and same place. The head of state will then take a two-week break from the Zondo Commission, before returning on 13 and 14 May for a separate line of questioning.

What will the president speak about at the Zondo Commission?

Ramaphosa is set to tell the Zondo Commission about several high-profile meetings he had with both the Guptas and Bosasa’s most infamous executives – Gavin Watson and Angelo Agrizzi.

Cyril will be asked to give evidence about any acts of corruption he witnessed in either his capacity as head of state or as Deputy President of the African National Congress, going back as far as 2012.

Inquires about cadre deployment and some of the other sketchy characters he’s worked with over the years are expected to dominate proceedings on Wednesday – as DCJ Raymond Zondo hopes to grill a more cooperative president this time.
