Did Maps Maponyane put a ring on it? Boity test-drives engagement ring
Television personality and businesswoman Boitumelo Thulo, known as Boity, fuelled rumours of being engaged to best pal Maps Maponyane after she posted a picture with a ring on her finger on Instagram.
BOITY POSTS ENGAGEMENT RING PICTURE
Boity tried out the ring at Graff Boutique, at the Delaire Graff Estate in Stellenbosch. The post was captioned:
“Testing the waters at the @delairegraff jewelry shop. #GraffDiamonds.”
It is not clear if Boity bought the right or if anyone else doled out cool cash for it. But many of the star’s fans would not be surprised if she and Maps were getting married.
How cute are they together?
BOITY WANTS TO MARRY MAPS
The ring post comes less than a week after Boity tweeted she was looking for an altar where she could marry Maps Maponyane.
There has been speculation the pair are dating for quite some time. They attend each other’s birthday parties, leave subtle hints in the comments sections on social media and have Maps’s mothers stamp of approval.
Rumours of a romance were fuelled when Boity and her boyfriend broke up, and Maps and his girlfriend, Nomzamo Mbatha, broke up too.
ON GETTING OUT OF THE FRIEND ZONE
Boity shared questions and answers on her Instagram giving her perspective of love during the month of love. One question was: “Do you have any advice for getting out of the friend zone?” to which she replied:
“I really don’t. I have been friend-zoned before and instead of taking offence, I just accepted that the person values me more as a friend — which I had no choice but to respect.”
BOITY ON HOW TO GET YOUR CRUSH TO NOTICE YOU
Boity also gave advice on how to get your crush to notice you:
“I would say brave it out and reach out to them. Take that leap of faith and just say ‘hello’ and see where it goes from there.”
“You don’t have to immediately disclose that you have a crush, but you have to start somewhere and I think ‘hello’ is a good place to start,” she added.
Boity said the best gesture from a partner was someone who took the time to learn and understand your “love language”.
