Barcelona great Ronaldinho TOO UPSET to attend mom’s funeral!
Barcelona and Brazil legend Ronaldinho couldn’t attend his mother’s funeral on Sunday because he was ‘too upset’.
Ronaldinho’s mom, Miguelina Eloi Assis dos Santos, passed away on February 20 after months in hospital and she was laid to rest in Porto Alegre.

According to Daily Mail, a cemetery’s spokesman was asked about Ronaldinho’s no-show at the funeral as his older brother Roberto and sister Deisi were present, and the answer given was that the former PSG star was ‘too upset’ to accompany them.
In December 2020, Ronaldinho took to social media to announce that Miguelina, 71, was hospitalized after testing positive for Covid-19.
Ronaldinho was too close to his mother so much so that he nearly quit the football in 2012 when Miguelina was battling cancer.
At the time, Ronaldinho had just returned to Brazil from Europe and was on the books of Flamengo.

Miguelina was a ever-present mom in Ronaldinho’s life as he saw him grow to become the football icon he is to this day.
She raised him as a single parent from the age of eight, and this was because Ronaldinho lost his father Joao de Assis Moreira, who drowned in a swimming pool accident almost 33 years ago.
Ronaldinho hasn’t posted anything about his mother’s passing on social media.
Ronaldinho enjoyed a successful football career both at club and international levels between 1998 and 2015.
He also won the Ballon d’Or in 2005, and the prestigious award came a year after he was named FIFA World Payer of he Year whilst playing for Barcelona.
