  1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the central and eastern parts of Northern Cape as well as Matzikama municipality of the Western Cape.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Cloudy at first with morning fog patches on the highveld, otherwise partly cloudy and warm.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Cloudy in the morning with fog patches along the escarpment and highveld, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm but hot in the Lowveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy in the morning with fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the western and northern parts.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Hot in the west, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the extreme east.

Free State:

Temperature: Fine in the western parts at first, otherwise partly cloudy warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the southwest and northeast.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Cloudy along the west coast at first where it will be cool, otherwise fine and hot to very hot, becoming partly cloudy in the east from the afternoon with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the western and southern parts.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly to south-easterly, freshening in the afternoon.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy over the interior and along the south coast at first, otherwise fine and warm to hot but very hot along the west coast.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly but moderate easterly to north-easterly along the south coast at first.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Eastern Cape:

The Western halfTemperature: Cloudy and cool in the south with light rain in places, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers over the northeast in the afternoon.

The Western Half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-easterly.

The Eastern halfTemperature: Cloudy and cool in the south with light rain in places, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, becoming cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the northeast.

The Eastern halfWind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-easterly.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Fine and warm but hot in places in the north, becoming partly cloudy to cloudy towards afternoon. Scattered showers and thundershowers are expected in the southwest, otherwise isolated except in the north-east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate northerly in the north, otherwise moderate to fresh southerly to southwesterly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.
