Pitso Mosimane heaps praise on Al Ahly as club rakes in another award

Former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is loving his time as mentor of Egyptian giants Al Ahly.

Mosimane has reacted to the club’s latest title as they were honoured at the 2020 Globe Soccer awards.

AL AHLY WERE NAMED THE MIDDLE EAST’S BEST CLUB

The annual ceremony which was held in Dubai saw Cristiano Ronaldo crowned the Player of the Century while Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski lifted the Player of the Year award.

While Al Ahly missed out on the award for Club of the Century (to Real Madrid), they were rewarded with the Top Title Winners of Middle East after a historic treble success achieved under previous coach Rene Weiler and Mosimane.

MOSIMANE HEAPED PRAISE ON THE CLUB

Mosimane missed out on accepting the award the former Bafana Bafana coach heaped praise on the club via his personal Twitter account.

“Congratulations Al Ahly FC, forever history makers at [the] global level. This Football Club is an institution,” he wrote.

“Thank you, God for choosing me to be part of this massive club. Go tsamaya , Ke go bona.”

Mosimane, who had contracted Covid-19, recently tested negative for the virus.
