Organisers on a high over Africa’s first virtual Cannabis Expo
The 2020 Cannabis Vexpo Africa will be held from 26 to 28 November. It was meant to run in March, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Taking place annually in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Pretoria and Durban, the Cannabis Expo is the largest trade and consumer expo of its kind in Africa. It hopes to attract even more visitors this year, with the virtual format allowing visitors from anywhere in the world to register and attend for free.
The Cannabis Vexpo is a first for Africa and will feature more than 50 exhibitors, live panel discussions, presentations from cannabis experts, leaders and change-makers from around the world, as well as virtual networking opportunities.
Global marketplace for cannabis education and products
The Cannabis Vexpo is a global marketplace for education, products and businesses serving the cannabis industry. It is also a platform for agricultural providers, international and local medical health professionals and lifestyle brands to engage with industry experts and the public around this versatile plant.
The three-day event will feature a virtual convention with moderated panel discussions and presentations from global industry leaders, live workshops, and an innovative exhibitor and networking platform.
Visitors can find out more about the plant, the industry, the laws around cannabis and how to get a grower’s permit, what tools, lights, and fertilisers are needed to grow the best crops, the health benefits of cannabis, and the vast business opportunities the industry has to offer.
Huge interest in cannabis industry
Cannabis Vexpo director Silas Howarth said the cannabis industry had been growing rapidly, even during these unprecedented times.
“With large public events postponed worldwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cannabis Vexpo is the ideal platform for global cannabis business leaders, entrepreneurs and people interested in cannabis products and opportunities to network, participate in panels and discussions, and to discover and interact with a diverse range of exhibitors representing cannabis business in Africa,” he said.
