Port Elizabeth’s ‘most-wanted man’ arrested – here’s his timeline of terror
A man who embarked upon a crime spree in September has been apprehended by the authorities in Port Elizabeth, after he was spotted near the city’s New Law Court. A brief police chase concluded in the suspect’s arrest, and the unnamed crook has a formidable charge sheet to his name – making him one of the municipality’s ‘most-wanted criminals‘.

The Eastern Cape resident is accused of being involved in three recent homicides, and an armed robbery. He is set to appear in court on Monday when his identity can be revealed. SAPS have outlined just how dangerous this perp is, by publishing a timeline of his illegal activities:
Friday 4 September 2020: A victim on Mhlokotshane Street was ambushed when four males arrived in a black VW Polo and held them at gunpoint. They took the complainant’s BMW keys, two cellphones, and some cash.
On 22 September: Police were summoned to a murder scene in Mzwandile Street in Joe Slovo settlement – where the body of Maguda Fezani (35) was found lying outside his Toyota Avanza vehicle.
Thursday 24 September: Thembela Puzi (31) was shot and killed in Nyamazane Area of Joe Slovo. It is alleged that he was being chased by unknown males and shot.
Monday 28 September: The body of Sinethemba Nyandini (35) was found lying in Ngwenkala Street in NU 9 in Motherwell. He also sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
SAPS detail court dates
A statement issued by police in Port Elizabeth has confirmed that the accused will have to answer to murder charges first:
“A combined operation to track down one of Port Elizabeth’s most wanted suspects paid off when he was arrested on Thursday, 29 October 2020 by Crime Intelligence and the Provincial Organised Crime Investigation (PE).”
“The suspect is linked to four separate cases (house robbery and three murder cases) allegedly committed in the Kwadwesi and Motherwell areas. He is expected to appear in the Motherwell magistrates’ court on Monday, 02 November 2020 on three charges of murder. He is yet to appear on the armed robbery case.”
