Easy Poached Eggs in forty seconds, just like at your favourite breakfast spot

Never has poached eggs been so easy to make, and in the microwave. All it takes is 40 seconds and voila, magic on your plate.

Make a bowl full of fried onion, tomato, garlic and chilli relish with bacon to accompany your beautifully poached eggs. Simply place your eggs on top and you have a new breakfast favourite.

However, if this is not to your taste to pair it with the more full breakfast, simply pop your eggs on some toast and just enjoy!

    Poached eggs always seem so difficult to make at home, but that is no longer the case with this super simple and quick recipe.

    Ingredients

    • 400 ml cold water

    • 4 large eggs

    • Bowl of relish

    • Grilled Bacon

    • Toast

    Method

    • In a small bowl or shallow tea cup, por in 100ml cold water. Break in your egg.
    • Place in the microwave, uncovered, for 40 seconds. If you desire a harder egg, 5 seconds longer.
    • Using a slotted spoon to drain the excess water of the egg.
    • Repeat with each egg, but it is important to use cold water each time.
    • Season to taste.
