Quick and easy spaghetti carbonara
At its core, this Italian dish is tradionally from Rome. Typically a pheasant dish, it was made with ingredients that kept well, like the cured meat and dried pasta.
There is some debate as to whether you should add cream or not. Tradtionally carbonara is made using just eggs and parmesan cheese. However, if you feel like an extra creamy dish you can add cream to the sauce.
The silky carbonara sauce is created when the beaten eggs are tossed with the hot pasta and a little oil from the bacon.
This recipe is super super simple to make and you only need five ingredients, making it perfect for a week night dinner.
