How to beat the Monday blues – even when working from home
Most of us have been there: the clammy fear you feel as the weekend winds down and you’re left with a serious “Monday Blues” case — that down, lethargic feeling at the beginning of a new week of work.
These are the few ways that can assist you in beating the Monday blues.
Identify the problem
Identifying what’s wrong is the first thing to do. If you have this kind of feeling frequently, it’s because it may be because you’re not pleased with your work or you’re just thinking about the workload that you have. Seek to work out the problem. It’s empowering to take responsibility for your issues and trying to change your situation.
Stop overscheduling on Monday
It’s natural to feel stressed after coming back from a relaxing weekend when you’re flooded with meetings. Seek to stop holding Monday meetings or major jobs that require most of your attention on Mondays. If you are aware of the project, start tackling it the Friday before and avoid delaying it for the following week.

Find reasons for your demotivation
“Often the Monday blues may be an indication that you’re just not crazy about your work. When you don’t like what you’re doing and you go through tedious motions Monday through Friday, of course, Monday hangs like a damp blanket over your head all weekend,” says Kathryn Ely, counseling coach.
Seek to find the root of your fear by pondering where the dread comes from. If it is an overbearing manager or a challenging friend, it might be worth arranging a meeting with them to discuss certain problems. It could be time to start talking about making a move if it is the essence of your work that has you down.
Add excitement to your Monday work schedule
Make a list of the things that will bring you excitement. Whatever it is, just try to make a list of all the things you want to do. This will add an element of excitement to your work and will encourage you to enjoy your Mondays more. This exercise will put you in a good mood to help prevent the tension that comes from a Monday routine.
