About the Netflix hit
The documentary, whose full title is Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness, is a true-crime series revolves around Joe Exotic, who collected and kept big cats such as lions and tigers, and was accused of animal abuse.
The 53-year-old, real name Joseph Allen Schreibvogel, was one of the prime targets for Baskin, whose organisation, Big Cat Rescue, was attempting to end private ownership of such animals.
During the course of the show, Exotic is seen making death threats towards Baskin.
The mutual hatred between the two culminates in Exotic hiring a contract killer to deal with his rival, which resulted in his January 2020 conviction, which sees him serve 22 years in prison.
The Netflix hit first aired on 20 March, and has received rave reviews.
