Polokwane City vs Orlando Pirates: PSL live scores, kick-off time, prediction and preview
Clinton Larsen once donned the black and white of Orlando Pirates during his playing career, but there will be no love lost when the Buccaneers visit his Polokwane City side at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday.
After 10 defeats on the trot, Rise and Shine finally got a taste of victory against Chippa United. Larsen cannot afford to let that slip as the relegation scrap enters a crucial stage.
Orlando Pirates’ miserable form on the road continued as they drew 1-1 to Bloemfontein Celtic in their last game. New coach Josef Zinnbauer will be looking to put an end to their away blues.
Gabadinho Mhango’s 14th minute opener against Phunya Sele Sele was cancelled out by Siphelele Luthuli in the 81st minute. Zinnbauer was frank about his team’s shortcomings in the second half.
“Maybe it was too easy for us in the first half for us… but it was a very good second half from the opponent,” said Zinnbauer to SuperSport TV after Pirates’ allowed Celtic back into the game. He suggested that perhaps his team took their foot off the gas.
Qualification for CAF competitions remains a possibility for the Buccaneers, but they cannot afford to let many more points slip.
Kick-off time and prediction
