Themba Zwane ruled out of Sundowns Telkom Knockout tie
Mamelodi Sundowns will have to go into their Telkom Knockout semi-final against Golden Arrows without star winger Themba Zwane.
The 30-year-old was pulled out of the Bafana squad ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Ghana and Sudan after suffering a hamstring strain prior to the international break.
Themba Zwane out injured
The Tshwane giants offered an injury update on Saturday, which confirmed his unavailability for the match at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Clermont.

Also out of action is midfielder, Oupa Manyisa, who could be sidelined for a huge chunk of the season, following an Achilles tendon injury.
He is joined on the physio’s table by Liberian forward Anthony Laffor, who is also on the mend after a knee injury suffered in March.
Another player yet to feature for the reigning league champions in the current season is Lucky Mohomi – also making his way to full fitness after a knee injury.
In what is a rather long injury list, attacking midfielder Sibusiso Vilakazi also features, after a knock on his foot.
The Bafana player came on in the 69th minute when Sundowns lost to Golden Arrows in their last league match, and has also been ruled out of the repeat encounter this Saturday.
Sirino boost
Amid the injury news, Sundowns received a bit of good news.
Playmaker, Gaston Sirino could yet feature in the match after some doubt, following pending disciplinary action.
“Gaston Sirino has been out for a long time but we are hoping he will be back for this one. Mshishi [Zwane] has been out and looks like he will miss this one,” assistant coach Manqoba Mnqithi told KickOff earlier in the week.
“Everybody knows what Mshishi can do for us but we can’t complain and say we are short of players.”
Kick off is at 15:00.
