Musiio provides improved AI curation with 90% accuracy

The early days of music curated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) started more than 20 years ago. This year, Musiio takes the game to the next level by becoming a viable option for better music curation.

Listening to music curated for your own personal taste can be exciting. It’s an exhilarating experience when song by song, your preferences, styles, and tastes are played just for you.

To date, their clients include Audio Network, Free Music Archive, Amanotes and Overcast.

Musiio’s rise to fame

Musiio is presenting themselves to companies who wish to become a Spotify alternative. The competition is tough out there, and Musiio has their work cut out for them.

However, with 90+% accuracy, the team is well on their way to make headlines everywhere they go. Their advances in music curation have already opened the door to investors.

Wavemaker Partners from Singapore, Exponential Creativity Ventures from the US, and other undisclosed venture capitalists from all around the world have welcomed Musiio with open arms.

“Musiio, a Singapore-based startup that uses AI to help digital music companies with discovery and creation, has pulled in a $1 million seed round – from Wavemaker Partners, Exponential Creativity Ventures and undisclosed angels.”

What makes Musiio stand out

Inefficiencies in music curation is a huge damper for those who love music. Musiio aims at reducing these inefficiencies using AI technology that improves greatly on what a human curator can do.

Instead of having to browse through hours and hours’ worth of Spotify playlists, businesses who partner with Musiio will be able to automate the search process, accurately.

Tags are consistent throughout a listener’s database; and by tagging more than 200 000 songs a day, Musiio gives listeners the advantage of finding what they need at breakneck speeds.

Their catalogue recall accuracy has been improved to find unique music that fits with your chosen track with less effort. They have also improved their search speed where users can search more than one million tracks in just below 2 seconds.

Musiio’s future

Musiio is in good hands. Its co-founders are Hazel Savage who used to work at Pandora and Shazam; and Aron Pettersson, a data scientist from Sweden.

Both Savage and Pettersson met in Singapore during an Entrepreneur First event. They had an idea, they started talking, and the rest is history, as they say.

Their aim is now to grow Musiio into uncharted territory and provide the tools necessary for businesses to process even more music than ever before, using AI.

Furthermore, they intend to make the music streaming industry even better by increasing the accuracy and quality of the A&R, while also supporting up and coming artists.

There are great things in store for Musiio and they’re moving forward to make an impact. Their focus on improved AI technology and servicing the record industry are sure-fire ways to guarantee success.
