Gavin Hunt to Orlando Pirates? Latest update surfaces!
Gavin Hunt will NOT be joining Orlando Pirates according to an insider at the Buccaneers.
Hunt followed his underwhelming spell at Kaizer Chiefs up with another shocking run in charge of Chippa United.
Gavin Hunt was placed under ‘suspension’ by the Chilli Boys two weeks ago following a nine-match winless run.
Orlando Pirates however will not be looking to rope the former Kaizer Chiefs coach in at Mayfair according to reports!
Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids have somewhat hit the ground running following a turbulent spell at Buccaneers.
Orlando Pirates have lost just once in their last 10 matches. According to an insider, the duo have done enough to secure their fate at the club until at least the end of the season.
Orlando Pirates not interested in Gavin Hunt says club insider
“No, there is no way that Hunt is coming to Orlando Pirates. Well, at least for now because don’t know what might happen in the coming years,” an unnamed insider told Citizen.
“I think the person who started this rumour is someone who just wants to see Gavin coaching Orlando Pirates, nothing more. If there is one thing I can tell you, coach Mandla and coach Davids will finish the season as management are behind them.”
Following the immediate sacking of Swallows head coach Brandon Truter and his entire technical team, it won’t be a surprise if Gavin Hunt lands up in the bird’s nest.
Swallows took the decision to sack Truter following his side’s 3-1 loss against Kaizer Chiefs in their Soweto derby on Sunday afternoon. Orlando Pirates may not be interested in the services of Gavin Hunt but only time will tell whether their neighbours are!
